Interfaz (2026)
Trabajo realizado durante la Residencia Bajo la misma Tierra de Espacio Mnwal, Santiago, Chile.
Video-instalación.
"Interfaz" consistió en la instalación de un televisor tras un recorte en el portón de una excavación inmobiliaria abandonada en el barrio Patronato, mostrando hacia el espacio público el registro del perímetro interno del sitio.
La obra parte de la tesis de que los muros funcionan como un archivo donde, en su propia materialidad, están inscritas las transformaciones históricas y sociales del entorno. Patronato es un sector de Santiago marcado por sucesivas capas migratorias (comunidades palestinas, sirias y libanesas a principios del siglo XX; coreanas a finales del siglo XX e inicios del XXI; y latinoamericanas en los últimos años) que han transformado los usos del espacio y sus materialidades, desplazando la identidad residencial del barrio hacia una dinámica comercial e industrial.

"Interface" consists of a television set installed behind a cutout in the gate of an abandoned real estate excavation in the Patronato neighborhood, projecting a recording of the site’s internal perimeter toward the street.
The work is based on the thesis that walls function as archives where historical and social transformations of the neighborhood are inscribed within their own materiality. Patronato is an area shaped by successive waves of migration—Palestinian, Syrian, and Lebanese communities in the early 20th century; Koreans in the late 20th and early 21st centuries; and Latin Americans in recent years. These migrations have reshaped the spatial uses and materialities of the area, shifting the neighborhood’s identity from a residential sector to an industrial and commercial zone.
