Réplica a escala 1:1 del espacio de exposición de Proxyco Gallery en Nueva York (Malla raschel, listones de pino e iluminación led)

Generando soluciones constructivas, habitualmente tautológicas, es decir que muestran a la galería desde la galería, a través de una suerte de pliegue de este espacio sobre sí mismo, María ha logrado ubicar en el lugar de la mirada estética esta clave tan importante e implícita del campo del arte, como es el espacio umbral que expone a los objetos del arte. 

 

En el caso de la muestra Perímetro, lo que se ha convertido en objeto de atención es esta especie de maqueta a escala real de una galería neoyorkina, donde ella expuso antes de volver a Santiago, que aquí adopta la forma de una gran pantalla que ilumina la sala, y que en este sentido muestra, al tiempo que somete a una funcionalidad paradojal, el propio interior de la Sala de Arte CCU.

Generating constructive solutions, usually tautological, that is to say that they show the gallery from the gallery, through a kind of folding of this space on itself, María has managed to place in the place of the aesthetic look at this important and implicit key to the field of art, such as the threshold space that exposes the objects of art.

 

In the case of Perimeter, what has become the object of attention is this kind of full-scale model of a New York gallery, where she exhibited before returning to Santiago, which here takes the form of a large screen that illuminates the room, and in this sense it shows, while subjecting to a paradoxical functionality, the interior of the Sala CCU itself.
